The Pitahaya plant is a family member of the cactus. This exotic fruit is also called dragon fruit. Not only does it look beautiful, the pitahaya is also very tasty! The fruit has a red or yellow skin and white or red juicy flesh with small black seeds. The slightly sweet taste is reminiscent of a combination of melon and kiwi. The fruit is ripe when you can peel it as easily as a banana.
