The longan berries | 龙眼 are the even tastier sisters of the lychee. She is native to southern China but is now grown throughout Southeast Asia. The translucent flesh is deliciously sweet, with a vague hint of 'cookie spice smell' in the distance. The fruit has a stiff, easy to peel thin skin and the same kind of smooth kernel as the lychee.
